If you ever get the opportunity to site see around our nation's capital, I would highly recommend stopping into Ford's Theatre on 10th Street, the place where President Lincoln was mortally shot in April 1865 by John Wilkes Booth. You can also visit the Peterson House across the street, the location where Lincoln was carried to expire. Also note that this is located very close to Fro Zen Yo so be sure to stop in there as well.
This blog features random postings of stories, videos, and photos from myself that will hopefully provide entertainment for all who view them.

Historical Four State
There are many locations of historical significance in the four state region some of which are more obscure than others. In Winchester, Virginia alone, it boasts the original site of Fort Loudon, George Washington's Headquarters (pictured above), Stonewall Jackson's Headquarters, and Abram's Delight to just name a few. Not to mention, the city of Winchester changed hands 72 times during the Civil War.
Other locations in the area include Harper's Ferry (self explanatory), the original cabin (albeit reconstructed) of the first settler of the area Morgan Morgan, Belle Boyd's house, the location of the battle of Antietam in Sharpsburg, Maryland, the grave of Lincoln body guard Ward Lamon, etc.

Snow White Grill

The Snow White Grill is located in Old Town Winchester, VA in the outdoor mall. Here you can find delicious "belly bombers" or mini burgers. Very good and reasonably priced. This placed open in 1949 and was one of many locations in the area. Is now the only location remaining. It is especially nice to stop in for lunch while seeing some of the historical sites around Winchester (Fort Loudon, Washington's Headquarters, Stonewall Jackson's Headquarters, Civil War Museum, Abram's Delight, etc.

Big Foot...
Is not real! I cannot understand why people have spent so much time researching this. The concept itself is ridiculous. Even if it did happen to exist, who cares?

Half.com
My goal of this blog isn't to promote products or organizations but I like to share places of interest or great values.
As a former college student, I know all too well the expenses involved, especially as it relates to text books. Honestly, text books are an absolute huge rip off and there is no justification for the prices that universities charge. In a country that promotes education, you would think that text books would be more affordable.
While attending college, I discovered Half.com, which is owned by EBay. It is a marketplace for individuals to sell new and used college texts (as well as other books, media, etc.) where you can find some very reasonable deals. Often times, you can purchase books much cheaper than what college bookstores offer for often a fraction of the price.
Another positive side is that you can sell books once you have used them. In several cases, I have actually made a profit selling books back because I got such a good deal when purchasing them. As most college students could agree, university bookstores offer next to nothing for book buybacks and turn around and sell the books for a much higher price (similar to how a pawn shop works).
Before making a purchase from the site, it is a wise choice to check the going rates for the texts needed from your university's bookstore in both new and unused condition. It isn't usually necessary to purchase brand new books and get much better deals on used material (granted that it isn't in shreds and is legible).

Vapiano!
I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident with a friend before attending a show at the Improv in Washington, D.C. It is a fresh casual European style concept serving made-to-order hand tossed pizzas, fresh, pasta and gourmet salads. I highly recommend this place if you can find one, which shouldn't be too tough since they are an international chain now.
Unfortunately, I didn't snap any pictures but check out the link for further information and locations:

Five Guys

Perhaps this posting is a bit late as I am sure most people are well aware of Five Guys. If you have have heard of it but never tried it, I would encourage you to do so (so long as you enjoy a good burger). They use all fresh ingredients and make their own french fries in house. While it can't be considered a healthy meal, it is definitely delicious.
I believe that most of their locations are in the Northeast but I know that they have been growing tremendously.
